This Privacy Policy describes how Leonardo Miguel Pedretti ("we", "us", or "our"), operating under the brand Código Dínamo, handles information in connection with the mobile application My Magic Mirror (the "App"). It also tells you about your privacy rights and how the law protects you.
The short version: My Magic Mirror turns your phone into a mirror. The camera image is shown on your screen in real time and is never recorded, stored, or sent anywhere. We do not require an account and do not ask you for personal details. The App uses Google AdMob to show ads and Google Play to process the optional one-time purchase, and those Google services collect limited device data as described below.
1. Who we are
The data controller responsible for the App is:
- Leonardo Miguel Pedretti (individual developer), operating as Código Dínamo
- Location: Argentina
- Contact: support@codigodinamo.com
- Website: www.codigodinamo.com
2. The camera
My Magic Mirror uses your device's front camera for a single purpose: to display a live mirror image on your screen. Please note:
- The camera image is processed on your device, in real time.
- We do not record, capture, save, upload, or transmit any photo, video, or camera image.
- No camera data ever leaves your device, and we never receive or have access to it.
You can revoke the camera permission at any time in your device settings; the App simply will not display the mirror without it.
3. Information we collect
Information you provide
None. The App has no accounts, sign-in, or forms, and does not ask you to provide personal information such as your name, email address, or phone number.
Information stored on your device
Your in-app preferences (such as your chosen settings, the tutorial-seen flag, and the date the App was first opened) are stored locally on your device using standard Android storage. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us.
Information collected automatically by third-party services
To keep the App free, we use Google AdMob to display advertisements. When ads are enabled, the Google Mobile Ads SDK may collect and process:
- your device's advertising identifier (Advertising ID);
- device information (such as device model, operating system version, and language);
- general usage and diagnostic data used to serve, measure, and improve ads, and to detect fraud;
- approximate location inferred from your IP address.
This data is collected and used by Google in accordance with Google's own privacy policy. We do not receive your advertising identifier or this device data in a form that identifies you personally.
4. In-app purchases
The App offers an optional one-time purchase to unlock premium features and remove ads. Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not collect, receive, or store your payment card details; we only receive confirmation from Google Play that a purchase was completed so we can unlock the corresponding features.
5. How information is used
- To operate and maintain the App and its features.
- To display advertisements (via Google AdMob) in the free version.
- To process and restore your optional one-time purchase (via Google Play).
- To remember your on-device preferences.
6. Third-party services
The App relies on the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google AdMob (advertising): https://policies.google.com/privacy — you can review Google's ad practices and controls at https://policies.google.com/technologies/ads.
- Google Play Services / Google Play Billing (app services and purchases): https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Your advertising choices
- You can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalization, in your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads on most Android devices).
- If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we present a consent choice (via Google's User Messaging Platform) before personalized ads are shown.
- Purchasing the premium unlock removes ads entirely.
8. Data retention
On-device preferences remain until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App. Data processed by Google (AdMob, Google Play) is retained by Google according to its own policies.
9. Security
We do not operate our own servers or databases for the App. Any data transmitted by the third-party Google SDKs is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.
11. Your rights in the European Economic Area, UK, and Switzerland (GDPR)
If you are located in the EEA, the UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability and to withdraw consent. Because we do not collect information that identifies you and do not maintain user accounts, we may be unable to identify individual users; most data is processed by Google, and you can exercise many choices through your device and Google account settings.
Legal bases. Where personal data is processed for advertising, our legal basis is your consent (where required) or our legitimate interest in providing a free, ad-supported App. Where you make a purchase, processing is necessary to perform that transaction.
12. Your rights in California (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, access, delete, and correct personal information, and to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, the sharing of advertising identifiers with Google for personalized advertising may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You can opt out by disabling ad personalization in your device settings or by purchasing the premium unlock to remove ads. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
13. International data transfers
The third-party services we use (Google) may process data in countries other than your own, including the United States. Those transfers are governed by Google's own safeguards and privacy policy.
14. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at this URL and revise the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes may also be indicated within the App.
